Auditions will be held on Wednesday January 29th 7-10 PM. If you are interested in auditioning, please sign up here. Each audition will last for approximately 20 minutes. We will ask you to sing:
- a few musical exercises (scales, intervals, and sight reading) - a memorized unaccompanied solo of your choice - a learned excerpt with the group that will be e-mailed to you after you sign up for an audition
We will also ask you a few questions about your survey answers and give you a chance to ask us questions as well.
We had the wonderful privilege of singing at the Boston Rescue Mission's Day of Thanks earlier this afternoon. The Day of Thanks is a special annual event held at the Boston Rescue Mission where volunteers serve a hot turkey dinner as well as give out Thanksgiving baskets filled with turkey and all the fixings to enable these folks to cook a proper American Thanksgiving meal at home next week.
Earlier Mayor Menino and his wife were actually there, though they had left by the time we arrived.
It was crazy cold out today and there was definitely a HUGE crowd of hungry people who showed up. Because it was so cold outside, the organizers allowed everyone to come inside while waiting to receive their food and baskets. It was a huge blessing for us to have the opportunity to serve them with our music. We loved their energy and kind words to us.
We sang three songs: Change in My Life, God Will Make a Way, and Thank You.
I believe there are videos and other photos out there, so this post may be updated soon with some more content!
One of our dear members, Tamiko Everson, is moving away from Boston. She had always thought it would be fun to get somewhere nice and get dressed up together. We surprised her with an fun outing at the Top of the Hub in Boston.
